This original 6” x 12” mixed medium painting on a ¾” deep cradled wood panel. Produced using an underpainting of acrylic on primed wood panel and finished top layers are created using oil paint. The piece is framed using a black painted wooden floating frame.

The painting depicts a Great Blue Heron hunting on the Richelieu River in Chambly Quebec.  This bird found a shallow spot in the rushing water to scout for passing fish on a warm summer day.
